Year 2000 Inventions

The new century has seen it's share of inventions as well. As a matter of fact, the past several years have seen the advancement of several different sectors, including food, our health and, of course, the military. Although it takes a little bit of digging to find some of the more notable 2005, 2007 and 2008 inventions, it certainly is well worth looking into.

One of the most amazing of the 2005 inventions includes a puppy by the name of snuppy. This is not an ordinary puppy, he is a clone. He is an Afghan that was made from a single cell that came from the ear of an adult hound dog. This was the first dog that was made by cloning. Although cloning has been around for several years, this was the first dog that was successfully cloned in such a way.

There were some 2007 inventions that really advanced our technology in several areas. A good example of this is the Electro Needle Biomedical Sensor Array. With this ingenious invention, it may no longer be necessary to get a blood test. This simple patch can get readings from our blood without having to extract any from our systems. Dow Corning has also come up with a special type of clothing for bikers. The material is soft until the time of impact, when it gets rigid throughout the entire piece of clothing, helping to protect the entire body. There were several other 2000 inventions, but these two really stood out from the crowd.

There are some notable 2008 inventions that are available as well. The gaming industry certainly got a boost with the release of the Nintendo Wii. This new game system not only has great graphics but it allows you to get into the game with some gyroscopic handheld controllers. There are also several 2008 inventions that are environmentally friendly as well. These include a unicycle motorcycle that gives off no emissions and a living air filter for your home.

Although this century is only beginning, we have seen some interesting inventions already. It will be equally fascinating to see what the rest of this decade and beyond has to offer us.
