1980 Inventions

The last two decades of the 20th century were at times one of turmoil but they also saw a lot of inventions come to light. Many of the 80s inventions as well as the 1990s inventions display the fact that technology was advancing at a much faster rate. Let's take a look at these two decades and some of the things that we could not imagine living without today. The fact of the matter is, prior to this time many of the technological advances that we are now enjoying where not in existence.

One of the most notable 1980 inventions has got to be the PC. Although it grew and shaped all throughout these two decades, the first one did not come into existence until 1981. MS-DOS also came into existence at this time and was one of the first operating system that really came out for the personal computer. Windows was developed by Microsoft in 1985, adding to the convenience of the PC.

Some of the more notable discoveries of the decade came in the later part. One of the more notable 1989 inventions is high definition television. This is something that is still being improved upon today. In fact, it won't be all that many years before all of the TVs that are working on the cable system will be high definition.

There were also a number of 1990 inventions that were quite notable as well. These included things, such as the DVD, Web TV and World Wide Web. Many people thank 1998, since that is the year that Viagara was invented. There were several 1992 inventions and technology that came to pass. One of the most notable of these is the smart pill. This is a one step medication that controls it's own release into your system.

Although the 1980 and 1990s inventions were not as pronounced as those that came about earlier in the century, it still was an interesting time to live.
